Ing. Agr. Carlos Shaw
Carlos is co-founder, president and Breeding Programs responsible, with over 30 years of experience in breeding and development of hybrids for the Argentine market. He graduated as Agronomical Engineer at the University of Buenos Aires. At the beginning of his career, Carlos trained in Breeding in the University of Texas A&M with Professor Dr. Fred Miller, renowned specialist in the area. Carlos began his career at Morgan, where he worked until 1990 and was responsible of the Sorghum Breeding Program. From then, he developed his career at Sursem, where he was Corn Breeding Program Leader, and then Research Manager until 2010, with remarkable achievements related to the hybrids Carlos released to the market.
Ing. Agr. Javier Mallo
Javier is co-founder, director and commercial and strategic relations responsible of the company, with over 30 years of experience in the Argentine seed market. He graduated as Agronomical Engineer at the University of Buenos Aires. Between 1999 and 2001 he
completed an Internal Development Program for Management Level within the Swedish Svalof Weibull group, and in 2004 a postgraduate degree in business training at the IAE Business School. Javier began his career at CKC, where he was soybean and sunflower breeder, working there until 1989. In 1990 he was co-founder, alongside Ing. Paul Caramangiú, of Sursem, where Javier was Research Manager and Responsible of the Sunflower Program; to become, later, since 2001, in Sursem’s President and CEO until 2009. Between 2009 and 2015 he was License Business Unit Leader for Advanta Argentina; and latter, since 2016, he became exclusively dedicated to Speciosa.
CPN. Miguel E. Mac Loughlin
Miguel is co-founder, director and Administration and Finances responsible of the company, with over 25 years of experience in the Argentine seed market. A public accountant, graduated at the University of Buenos Aires, Miguel began its activities auditing for several prime level companies, joining Sursem in 1994 where he became accountant, administrative and finance responsible for Sursem and Agrofun. With the sale of the companies to the Pampa Management Group he became leader of Campo Austral, another company of the group, until his retirement in 2012. He joined Rusticana SAFICI team in 2012, as administrative and finance responsible, until 2015, when Miguel became concentrated on Speciosa exclusively.
