The company has its origins in the belief that a group of professionals, related to seed R&D in the
Argentine and South America markets, had about the need to develop new and better products in
the Corn Specialities market, adding value to farmers.

Our Pop Corn program it´s based on the Breeding Program originally developed by Sursem SA, which was acquired by Speciosa in 2010. The Pop Corn Program began in 1990 and have proven, along the years, its ability to provide the market with hybrids that stand out due to, its stability, agronomic performance, and high quality.
The main goal of our Pop Corn program is to develop hybrids that offers a permanent improvement of the quality standards of a pop corn grain, like expansion, K10, grain color and presentation; as well as the agronomic aspects such as performance, stalk & root strength, and disease tolerance.

We have developed a breeding program for red Flint corn hybrids of high performance in yield, agronomy and Flint quality standards such as hardness and size, key for the milling industry to develop its products in the best way. Our first hybrids are already in pre-commercial stage

From agreements signed with companies in Argentina and Brasil, we developed an special corn line called BMR (Brown Mid Rib).
Its main characteristic is the lower lignine content, which is directly associated with higher fiber digestibility of the materials.
This characteristic gives BMR corn proven advantages in increasing milk production per cow per day,
in intensive production schemes where corn silage is a primary input.
BMR corn represents a very important qualitative and economic advance in dairy production.
Qualitatively, the use of a more digestible forage generates a higher consumption by the cow, that has an impact not only in a higher milk production, but also on better animal health due to the consumption of food based on a higher forage proportion, which allows less grain consumption and healthy costs.
From the economic point of view, from the increase of milk production and the decrease of grain consumption, there is an improvement in the economic-productive equation.

We also develop white corn with harness for dry grinding and waxy corn.
